We are delighted to announce an opportunity for conference funding for undergraduate Statistical Science students presenting their research at a scholarly conference or attending a conference in support of their research. Funds are available for the 2021-2022 academic year. For more information.
Deadlines for Research Conference and Competition Submissions
|Tuesday, March 1, 2022||
Ready to present your undergraduate statistical science research project? The regular weekly departmental research seminar on Friday afternoon, March 18th, will be devoted to undergraduate research. Up to six undergrad researchers or teams will be selected to present to the department. Presenters will have 5-7 minutes to present up to five slides of content, and then will have 3 minutes of Q&A. A moderator will collect questions throughout the talks and ask the speakers at appropriate times. Talk with your mentor, PI, or project advisor, then fill out this form. Applications close at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, March 1st; presenters will be announced a few days later. We will provide guidance and feedback for presenters in advance. Abstract Submission deadline is mid-November for the National Conference on Undergraduate Research 2022 virtual conference scheduled for April 4-8. It will be virtual and if accepted to present your paper or poster, you can apply for funding from the department for your conference fees. More information here.
