Open Advising Times

Need advising on declaring a major, minor, or IDM in Statistical Science?

Drop-in advising is available each semester prior to major declaration deadlines and before registration.  These sessions are open to students interested in declaring the major or minor, as well as anyone with general questions about the Statistical Science major, the discipline, the department, or whether statistics is the right fit for you. Please check back frequently for updates to the list below.

  • 10-, 20, or 30-minute sessions are available
  • If you are planning a StatSci major, please select a 20-minute appointment.
  • For résumé feedback, please attach your résumé and select a 30-minute appointment.
  • PhD students and postdocs who would like to discuss mentoring are welcome to schedule appointments as well.
  • If you have time-zone constraints or scheduling conflicts, email dus@stat.duke.edu with your availability and a brief description of your questions/topics. You will receive a reply or calendar invitation to confirm.
