Open Advising Times

Need advising on course selections in Statistical Science?

Drop-in advising is available each semester prior to major declaration deadlines and before registration.  These sessions are open to students interested in Statistical Science, whether taking  one or two courses, or considering the major or minor. If you have questions about the Statistical Science programs, the discipline, the department, or whether statistics is the right fit for you, come see us! Students already in the department should see their assigned advisor first but can use open advising times as an additional resource as well.  Please check back frequently for updates to the list below. To get into the Zoom meeting, first go to duke.zoom.us and sign in with your Duke login information. Then the link below will open and admit you to the meeting.

  • 10-, 20, or 30-minute sessions are available
  • If you are planning a StatSci major, please select a 20-minute appointment.
  • For resume feedback, please attach your resume and select a 30-minute appointment.
  • PhD students and postdocs who would like to discuss mentoring are welcome to schedule appointments as well.
  • If you have time-zone constraints or scheduling conflicts, email dus@stat.duke.edu with your availability and a brief description of your questions/topics. You will receive a reply or calendar invitation to confirm.
