Associate Professor of the Practice of Statistical Science
My work focuses on innovation in statistics and data science pedagogy, with an emphasis on computation, reproducible research, student-centered learning, and open-source education. I work on integrating computation into the undergraduate statistics curriculum, using reproducible research methodologies and analysis of real and complex datasets. My current research interests include exploring creativity in open ended data analysis projects and how, if at all, it differs for groups of students who have learned R using different syntax as well as scalable and inclusive approaches to calibrated peer review.
