PhD candidate Justin Weltz was recently honored with a student travel award from the American Statistical Association Section on Health Policy Statistics for work in collaboration with Angela Yoon, Statistical Science BS '23, Yichi Zhang (Associate Professor, University of Rhode Island), and Duke professors Alex Volfovsky and Eric Laber. Their paper, "Reinforcement Learning for Respondent-Driven Sampling," will be presented in August at the Joint Statistical Meetings. Congratulations for all their hard work!
