What's it like to successfully complete a senior honors thesis in Statistical Science or Data Science? When should you start thinking about it? What do you do if you are double majoring? What's the difference between graduating with Latin honors and graduating with distinction? What kind of project can you work on? Are the results required to be published somewhere?

Please join Professor Amy Herring, Director of Undergraduate Studies in Statistical Science, for a short conversation about writing an honors thesis in StatSci or Data Science. Dr. Maria Tackett, Assistant Professor of the Practice of Statistical Science, will tell you about grant funding she obtained in support of honors thesis researchers. This is aimed not just at seniors already on the journey, but is also meant for StatSci majors and minors, Data Science majors, or any student at any level who wants to know more about the process.
