Communicating Effectively in a Professional Setting

In this workshop, with the right mindset and voice and self-awareness that we have developed from the fall workshop, we will be ready to delve into the actual strategies that are acceptable and part of the normal etiquette in the workplace to set the students up for success. We will address the importance of trust as a foundation of all their relationships and communications and explore how we can disagree or share a strong opinion without alienating our peers. We will learn how to negotiate with tact and savvy and in what format and how to carry a negotiation to finish. We will also look at addressing rather than avoiding conflict and handling awkward and critical communications.
