How has being a Statistical Science graduate from Duke help shape you personally and/or professionally?

"The personal and academic growth I experienced during my graduate years at Duke are unmatched by any other period of my life. The confidence in my work and many of the goals that I have been able to achieve in my career as a researcher and professor are clearly consequences of the solid training I have received in the Statistical Science at Duke University."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Statistical Science programs?

"Being a student in the Department of Statistical Science at Duke is a lifetime experience. My advice to all students is to stay focused on your studies. Do not miss the opportunity to learn as much as possible in the courses, seminars, TA activities and in contact with the professors and classmates. Make friends and explore the resources offered by the university."
