How has being a Statistical Science graduate from Duke help shape you personally and/or professionally?

"Studying statistics at Duke helped me start my career as a statistician. I am currently a PhD candidate in statistics at UT-Austin, planning to graduate in August 2020, and I will begin a postdoctoral fellow position here in the fall. This all would not have been possible without the education I had at Duke learning from the great professors at Duke Statistics."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Statistical Science programs?

"Make a website where you can share your work (projects, code, papers, or anything else) with the world. Start projects and see them through their conclusions, at which point you can share with the public. Stay on top of new trends in statistics and data science, but don't overlook the "classic" topics you learn in classes."
