How has being a Statistical Science graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"Coursework involving Case Studies provided me with the tools to conduct thoughtful statistical analyses which impressed coworkers/managers in my team and stakeholders for whom I conducted these analyses. The coding I picked up through stats core classes, but mainly through electives, definitely provided me with tools that allowed me to contribute at work from day 1 on the job."
What advice would you give students in Duke's Statistical Science programs?
"Course that involve specific case studies conducted with real data are incredibly rewarding. Take electives that prioritize coding over theory, especially if there is any SQL or R involved."
