Eduardo Coronado Sroka
I am M.S. in Statistical Science candidate interested in applying statistical models and machine learning to genomics, healthcare, and business development/analytics. I am particularly focused on finding novel methods that could help improve the prognosis or diagnosis of patients with an infectious disease with the overall goal of enhancing patient healthcare. Within that focus, I am keen in contributing to the current global effort to tackle the rapid spread of antimicrobial resistance which the World Health Organization (WHO) labelled as one of the most pressing healthcare challenges of the 21st century

Previously I worked at Arc Bio, LLC in Boston were I initially helped develop a novel graph-based genomic analysis tools (patent pending) capable of analyzing a human genome’s variations (200Gb of data) within a day. I later demonstrated it could also be applied to detect antimicrobial resistance markers in infectious diseases such as M. tuberculosis. As a Product Manager, I created and owned the product requirements of the company’s flagship product – Galileo™ - to guide the development teams, and meet customer and regulatory requirements.
I received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with honors (2015) and a concentration on Nanotechnology from Boston University. As an undergrad, I also worked under Dr. David Sinclair at Harvard Medical School developing bioinformatic workflows to detect novel small genes in the human genome with the goal of discovering diabetes/anti-aging potential drug targets.
