How has being a Statistical Science graduate from Duke help shape you personally and/or professionally?

"In my current role, I use skills I developed through in my stats classes throughout my four years at Duke. The foundations I gained helped me pick up new, slightly advanced skills quickly and bring them to my team. The stats program also helped shape the way I go about solving problems."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Statistical Science programs?

"If you use mostly R, try to replicate your workflows in Python. Also, if you aren't doing an independent study, whenever you have a question that you think can be answered with data, look for that data. Hands-on experimentation is the best way to pick up skills."
