Adding the Duke Statistics Printers on Windows XP

This page describes how to add a Duke Statistics Printer to your Windows XP computer.

Requirements

Printing to Duke Stats printers only works for our local wired network. You cannot print to a Duke Stats printer remotely or from the Duke wireless network.

How to

First, You need access to the windows share where all the print drivrs are stored:

  1. Click on Start -> Run...

  2. Type in cmd and click OK

  3. In the command line window that opens, type in

net use w: \\what\windows\printer-drivers
  1. Type w: in the command line window and hit Enter

  2. Type cd WinXP and hit Enter

  3. Type add_printers.bat in the command line window and hit Enter

After the script finishes, you should have all DSS printers installed on your laptop. If you have no need for one or more of them, feel free to delete them.

After you are satisfied the printers are working correctly, run:

net use /delete w:

to disable the w: drive.
